Panzerchrist is a Danish blackened death metal band founded in 1993 by Michael Enevoldsen, after his departure from Illdisposed, and the artist Lasse Hoile. After recording several demos, the band signed with Serious Entertainment. Their debut album, *Six Seconds Kill*, came out in 1996, followed by *Outpost Fort Europa* in 1998. In 2000, drummer Reno Killerich (formerly of Exmortem and Vile) and vocalist Bo Summer (also of Illdisposed) joined for *Soul Collector*, released by Mighty Music. The album gained notoriety for its WWII concept and German lyrics.
In 2002, Frederik O'Carroll and Rasmus Henriksen became members, and the band worked on *Room Service* (2003, Mighty Music), an album described as ultra violent and faster than previous work. It included a cover of Metal Church’s “Metal Church” and was recorded at Tue Madsen’s Antfarm Studios. On *Room Service*, each song title is the first word or words sung in that track, and every song except the cover ends with the phrase “Death, forever panzer.”
For the 2006 album *Battalion Beast* (Neurotic Records), drummer Killerich and keyboardist Karina Bundgaard returned. Each song on that album concludes with the line “Christ, thy name is panzer.” In spring 2008, vocalist Bo Summer was replaced by a vocalist known only as “Johnny,” and the band—previously a studio-only project—began planning live performances. Over its history, Panzerchrist has included members from Danish and Norwegian acts such as Mercenary, Chainfist, Allfader, and Illdisposed.
The full-length *Regiment Ragnarok* was released on 18 April 2011, followed by *7th Offensive* in July 2013. Later albums include *Last of a Kind* (2023), *Maleficium – Part 1* (2024), and *Maleficium – Part 2* (2025). The band also released the EP *All Witches Shall Burn* in 2024, the demo *Forever Panzer* (1995), and compilation albums *Bello* (2007) and *Himmelfartskommando* (2008).
